A Lesson in the Life of Mr Bee

Imagine you are Mathematics teacher, Mr Bee.
Before you used Hive, you would have had to use at least 7 different applications to deliver your lesson. Now, you use just one.

Digital Whiteboarding

You want to look at identifying fractions with the class. As it is a quick and easy task to create on Hive, you decide to do it together with the class so they can create their own colourful fractions.

Accessing the Hive Library, you quickly drag out some random lined wheels that can be used as fractions. You then let a few students come to the front, and using the fill tool, colour in segments of the circles with different colours.

Collaboration

You tap the Hive Nexus tab to start a collaboration session. Students connect to the session on their own handheld devices. You nominate students to solve the fractions one by one, passing control of your board to each selected student.

Mini-Apps

A student become stuck and needs help solving the next fraction. You open the board-in-board mini-app, as to not draw over your main canvas. You copy the fraction onto your pull down board, then help the student identify the problem.

Cloud Files

The class has completed that task quicker than you thought, but it's ok, you have more problems already prepared. You tap the DropBox Drive icon and drop your saved file onto a new Hive page.
